Azerbaijan Health Sector Reform Project
As part of a World Bank funded project Nicorna designed a prototype acute hospital to fit on two sites located in Agdash and Sheki in the foothills of the Caucasus mountains on behalf of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Health.
Previously patients from these regions were required to travel to the capital Baku for specialist care with some of the roads impassable in the winter times.
The accommodation included:
- Emergency Department
- MRI, CT, Mammography, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy and General X-Ray
- Operating Department
- Intensive Care Unit
- Outpatients Department
- Rehabilitation Services including Gym
- Dialysis
- Laboratories
- Mortuary
- Paediatric, Maternity, General Medical and Surgical Wards
