Nicorna Architecture on behalf of Equans (Engie) and Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust were appointed to redesign the existing Lecture Theatres within the Education North Building on the Central Site.
The building is a Grade II listed building and was originally converted to an education centre under the PFI programme with 2 lecture theatres on the ground and 1st floors.
Works included replacement of existing seating and upgrading of acoustics as well as general redecoration and remedial works including services.
The works also encompassed reconfigurations to comply with the Equality Act to provide accessibility for all including adaptable wheelchair provision and audio/visual support.
Works were completed and handed over on 21 January 2022.
We would like to thank Equans and MFT for the opportunity to work on this project and to the HEBS Group for an excellent build.
